About FreeWebTools
FreeWebTools is a collection of 284 small, single-purpose web tools, published in 10 languages. Each one does one job — convert a unit, count the words in a draft, follow a redirect chain, work out a loan payment — on a page you can open, use and close without creating an account.

How the tools work
Most of these tools are JavaScript that runs inside your browser. The text you paste into a word counter, the salary you type into a paycheck calculator and the photo you drop into an image converter are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us.
Some tools cannot work that way. Network diagnostics send the address you enter to our server, because a browser is not permitted to read another website's response headers. Most live counters query public APIs, though the population and debt counters read no feed at all and extrapolate published projections in your browser. The AI writing tools send your text to a language-model provider. Those pages say so, and you should treat them like any other online service.
Who publishes these pages
FreeWebTools Editorial Team is the name the site is published under, not the name of a person. We do not attach an author or credentials to a page that we cannot stand behind, and we do not invent them.
What the date on a page means
The date in a tool page's byline is the date that page's own template last changed in our source. It is never read from the clock: it never moves on its own, and a page nobody has touched keeps the same date. It can be today's date, but only because the template really was edited today — that is what a page being reworked looks like. An older date does not make a page stale: a unit conversion that was right two years ago is still right.
How it is paid for
Every tool is free to use, with no account, no sign-up and no paid tier. The site is funded by advertising: pages carry Google AdSense units, which are marked as ads and are not editorial content.
Privacy
There is no account to create, so there is nothing for us to hold about you. Tools that save your work — the notes app, the to-do list, flashcards, favourites — keep it in your browser's local storage on your own device, which means it does not sync between devices and clearing site data removes it. The ads and the traffic measurement are Google's: Google AdSense and Google Analytics load on every page and receive your IP address and the page you are on. The privacy policy sets out what that means.
Languages
Tools are published in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Polish and Chinese. Most tools have a separate URL in each language; some are spelled the same way in two or more languages and share one URL. Either way the alternates are declared in the page head, so search engines serve the right one. Coverage is not identical everywhere: some explanatory text exists only in English so far.
